Accidentally Naughty (A Life Crash Moment)

Firstly, I have to admit that I absolutely LOVE this Life Crash Moment and I’ve inserted a ton of my own comments! I know…so unprofessional, but I just couldn’t help myself. Please accept my apologies in advance. He he. Secondly, and most important…Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for sharing it, Katy (not her real name for obvious reasons…but Miss Katy will certainly recognize her story)! Oh, I hope you like the name…kind of sweet. I think. Anyways…

So…Katy took a giant leap and ordered a book from a new author. Me!(Yeah!) The key selling points for her? Alessandria was described as a strong female character and, well…she was looking for a little simmer. You see, Katy’s husband travels a lot with his job. When he gets home on the weekends, he’s usually tired, desperate for some quiet downtime, opting to keep the sofa warm and immerse himself in whatever sports stuff is on the tele. Katy tried to get into it with him, but he’d only get irritated when she’d attempt to engage him in conversation or subtly hint that she was growing desperate for more. Instead of forcing a discussion that could cause friction, Katy just let it go, accepted it as her current normal, and convinced herself she’d gotten used to it. No biggy. She dabbled in distracting herself with a bit of shopping on the weekends, but that quickly got old and too expensive. And lame. Every month she would purge her closet for donations, another self-imposed distraction, only to realize a lot of it still had tags. Next up was her fitness phase. Yoga, jogging, ropes, poles…as in striptease poles (that sounds interesting). She even gave Zumba a shot. Nope. Katy was in decent shape to begin with…healthy eating, a little indoor cycling, a few planks here and there. It wasn’t a difficult decision to dump the rest, especially when she recognized it for what it truly was…sorry substitutes for what she really needed. Her husband. Since that was looking like an impossible dream, at least until his workload eased, she took a friend’s advice for an ‘inexpensive’ and ‘effective’ way (no more sweat and sore muscles) to ride through her predicament. Well, there was still the sweat…a lot more.

Enter  Meridian Stone: The Transition! (Yeah!)

As soon as her husband, Tyrenius (not his real name for obvious reasons…but cool, right? No? Fine.) her husband…Scott, departed for his weekly work trip, Katy began reading. And reading. And reading. You’ll understand once you dive into Meridian Stone: The Transition yourself. After finishing the book in two days (impressive), she was way past simmer. High boil, baby! (Her words…love them!) Katy was determined not to allow Scott to downtime his way out of some Katy time this weekend. She thought about cooking a romantic dinner, but that would take too much of their time. Her patience for eating was gone. And she could get bloated and that was not ideal for what she had planned. Then there was…what to wear? Should she shop for something new? Hmmmm…what would Alessandria do? So not that! Maybe. Besides, with Katy’s previous lame shopping sprees, she had plenty to choose from but, of course, as she rummaged through them, nothing seemed right. By the night prior to her husband’s arrival, Katy was at her wit’s end. Second guessing everything. So, she did what any smart fierce female would do. She snuggled under the covers of her bed, turned the lights down low, and reread all of her favorite chapters in Meridian Stone: The Transition.

When the sun rose the next morning, she had not slept a wink. But she was so ready! No more fretting about this or that. Katy went about the day absorbed in her usual stuff, ran a few errands, and arrived home about three hours before showtime. A bit sluggish from not getting any sleep, she decided to take a shower and a quick nap. In a sweatshirt and shorts, she curled up on the sofa, setting her phone alarm to awaken her an hour before Scott’s arrival. The alarm was not what ended her slumber.

An hour after Katy fell asleep…

The garage door rolled up then down. Before Katy could completely drag herself from the haze of sleep, the door from the garage to the house slammed shut. She sat up on the sofa just as Scott entered the family room, tossing his jacket on a nearby chair. He looked out of sorts, slightly flushed and out of breath, like he’d run up three flights of stairs or something.

“Scott? You’re home early,” Katy said, surprised and more than a little miffed that he’d picked this trip to come home early, ruining all of her carefully planned preparations.

“Shut it and get naked,” he ordered. What?!

That sounded familiar,’ Katy thought, shocked speechless, then ‘I’ve got to be dreaming. No way my husband just said that.’ But she was groggy not stupid and immediately understood that this was not the time to question anything.

Scott’s eyes narrowed and he had that look. You know the one. The really, really wicked one. “My wife has been very naughty.” Yepper…he said that. And the sound you just heard? My jaw smacking into my throat. You, too, huh? Scott definitely seems like a Tyrenius to me. Oh, well.

And Katy’s Life Crash Moment began. Fortunately for her, unlike during mine, she was not expected to speak. And bonus! None of her ridiculous (her word) arrangements were necessary. After a few more awkward seconds of shock, Katy knew she now believed in magick, and did exactly as she was instructed. For the next several hours. Hours! Way to go, Katy! And Scott!

The rest of the story…

What Katy hadn’t known? When she downloaded Meridian Stone: The Transition to her device, it was shared with her husband’s as well. Ooopsy! He’d uncovered her new novel on his first night away and decided to check it out. So…he began reading it that night. And reading. And reading. You’ll understand once you dive into Meridian Stone: The Transition yourself. Wait. Have I already said that? The point is that by night two Scott was on high boil, baby and quite emotional from the whole epic love story thing. So cute. He confessed to Katy that it reminded him of how deeply he loved her and had served as the gut punch he needed to get his priorities back in line. Katy, on top, where she belonged.
